Year 5 pupils have made a very good impression within the local community. We recently received these lovely comments:

I am emailing on behalf of Longley’s Coffee Shop in Holmfirth. Recently, in celebration of ‘world book day’, a visit was organized by your school for a group of children to buy ice creams at our shop. Firstly, I wanted to say how well-behaved the children were upon this visit. All were very polite in placing their order, being both clearly communicative and patient. I served them myself, so I can personally testify for their good manners. A couple of days after the visit, I was surprised to find that the children had all composed hand-written letters to express their thanks. All the staff were incredibly impressed by their neat hand writing and advanced articulation. As many of the children had thanked the staff in general but also myself specifically, I felt in necessary to send a letter of appreciation in return. Your gratitude quite frankly made my day. It goes without saying that your are welcome to arrange many more future visits.
