As part of Holmfirth Christmas celebrations, every child in school has taken part in making a lantern for the Christmas parade on Saturday 26 November. I will be in the Tiger Suite (the old ICT Suite) on Wednesday 23rd November, at 3.30pm, handing out the lanterns made in school, to any child who wishes to take one home to use in the parade. An electric tea light will be given to your child free of charge on Saturday by a member of the Holmfirth Christmas team before the parade begins.
Alternatively there is a lantern making workshop, taking place in the upper market hall from 2.00pm, should you wish to make lanterns with your children on the day.
The school choir will be performing a medley of songs in the Parish church at 3.30pm, they would welcome your support!
The parade will leave the Co-op car park at 4.30pm and make its way to the Bus station, where there will be carols and entertainment from 5.00pm. At 6.00pm, Fenella the Tiger turns the Christmas tree lights on. I hope you enjoy supporting this community event.
