It’s all going on in the Viking village! Pathways are being smoothed, huts are being insulated and even pheasant eggs have been discovered!
Reception pupils were on the search for commonly used words and letter strings. Guided by their Year 4 counterparts, they uncovered a whole host of learning.

Thank you to the FONS team for organising two very successful discos last night. Foundation Stage pupils boogied from 6 – 7 pm, whilst KS2 pupils danced the hour from 7.15 – 8.15 pm away. A great time was had by all!
Year 2 pupils have been out and about in Holmfirth, tallying the most popular colour for cars. They were concentrating so much that they did not notice me when i drove past them!
Year 3 pupils have been combining art, Abba, Kandinsky and Picasso, in order to create their own interpretations of musical instruments.
Year 4 pupils have been considering perimeter and co-ordinates in a highly creative fashion, with edible targets!
Year 5 pupils have been combining their knowledge of Anglo-Saxons, in order to produce some highly informative posters.
Early Years and Foundation Stage pupils enjoyed a teddy bears’ picnic this afternoon. Although the weather was not favourable, they still enjoyed the event.
Year 1 pupils have been exploring all things African, including some observational drawing and composition. Their musical pieces even included a graphic score!
