On this day…

In assembly, I read the children an extract from the school log:

September 4th 1905 – The school is re-opened after five weeks holiday. An extension of two weeks was granted in order to finish the alterations. The partitions however are not yet finished, and we shall probably have the workmen in school four days this week. Consequently we may in some cases have to depart from the Time Table.

Our timetable this morning included lots of fantastic writing, sorting, and exploring British values. At lunchtime, Year 6 showed great respect and care for their Reception buddy.
