End of term- good byes and thank you

We have had another brilliant year at school with so many successes to celebrate.

  • Excellent KS1 and KS2 SATs results
  • Great sporting achievements
  • A foot-tapping end of term production
  • The completion of phase 1 of Mission Possible ..to name but a few.

We would like to wish all the children leaving school every success for the future as the move onto Holmfirth High School.

We are also saying goodbye to Mrs Battye who has been one of our cleaning staff for many years and Mrs Brooks who has supported children with their learning.

We wish Miss Crowther every success in her new role at Wilberlee but hope she will be back with us next September.

Thank you to all the parents and friends of the school for all the support which has been given to the school throughout the year and to the staff team for their hard work and commitment to children and their learning.

Have a lovely summer.

Tour de France artwork

Well done to all those children who produced artwork for the Tour de France – garage doors, parachutes, giant tshirts and postcards, which were displayed all around Holmfirth during the weekend. We have received lots of positive comments about our contributions.

Here is a lovely letter we received from a visitor.

Brilliant Sports Day!

It was the sports day at Nabb today. What a fab day and a massive thanks from us to Andy Gledhill for organising so many events. In the morning the whole school went round a carousel of events, long jump, shot putt, javelin, balances, basketball shoot, football shoot and so on…This afternoon we had races and we’d like to say a big thanks all the parents that came along to give our event a wonderful atmosphere. And… the rain didn’t appear until we’d finished most of the events!
