All the Year 1 teachers would just like to say how proud they are of the whole class for their wonderful behaviour on the walk to Holmfirth Library and back yesterday. They were so sensible and careful on the roads and in the library they showed brilliant listening before making their own Tour de France jersey and face to go on a big poster. Thank you to the library for offering this to us, we had a great time!

Work on Mission Possible is progressing well and the pathways are now taking shape. The children have been busy watching the progress and are very excited about having a new outdoor learning environment. We are hoping to involve the children in the work and give them a greater understanding of the different jobs which the contractors have to undertake.
Next week is SATs week for our Year 6 pupils. They will be taking tests in reading, grammar, punctuation and spelling and maths. The children have worked very hard in the run up to this week and we would like to wish them good luck during the test week.
The introduction of parentpay has been very successful and we would like to thank parents for embracing this change. If there are any issues please contact the admin team who will try and help you.
Last night was the first of the races of the Neilley Race series. Children from years 3 to 6 took part in the races in the pouring rain last night. They all gave 100% and were a credit to the school. Hopefully the sun will shine for the next race on 21st May!
The next FONS meeting is on Tuesday 13th May at 3.30pm in the ICT room. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting.
