What a wonderful final day of great term! We started with the FONS Christmas breakfast, thanks to everyone who came along to enjoy the bacon and sausage butties, we sold out! Classes then had their final gymnastics session of the year and finished off by doing Christmas activities in their classes.
Happy Christmas everyone! 🙂
All the classes in KS2 have been working very hard for the carol concert this eve. They are singing songs, reciting poems as well as performing parts of Scrooge and there are also a few little groups from various classes that are going to play. It all sounds amazing and we hope you come along to enjoy it!
We’d like to say a massive thank you to Sharon Brown and the FONS team for all their hard work in creating a very successful Christmas Fair last Friday. We are thrilled to say that this event made a profit of £1400!
Another big thank you to everyone who came to the fair to support us and we hope you had a great time!
PS….It’s the Christmas breakfast on Friday…. bacon & sausage butties!
Yesterday the Huddersfield Examiner published a document showing a table of results for the KS2 SATS results from summer 2013 in Kirklees.
We’re very proud to say that we came 6th in this table!
The whole table can be found in the document below.
Our library is full of goodies, the FONS team are busy sorting everything out and will be setting up in the KS2 classrooms and the hall this afternoon!
It starts at 3.30pm and will go on until about 6pm. There will be many different stalls including a chocolate tombola (messy fun) and a bottle stall – which one is empty, which one is full?! We have a mystery gifts stall, a crafts stall, a cafe, cakes, sweets, Christmas cards and decorations stall and many more.
We hope you come along to make it a successful and thoroughly enjoyable event just as it was last year!
Yesterday morning was the first performance of the KS1 Christmas Cracker show. It was fantastic! All the children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 performed so well and we are very proud of all of them.
Nursery were dressed up as little stars and sang Twinkle Twinkle ….gorgeous 🙂
Reception were dressed up as mistletoe and sang ‘Kissing under the Mistletoe.’ We could hear every single word!
Year 1 were really colourful in their Santa suits and reindeer outfits and sang really well with actions too! Well done!
Year 2 had the speaking parts and more songs to sing. Again, everyone could hear every word of the script and each song. There were also some solo and little groups singing, we’re very proud of them. A special mention goes to April for her wonderful singing at the start of Mary, Rock Your Baby. Really well done Year 2!
Due to yesterday’s bad weather one of the portacabin windows is damaged. Please keep away from this area whilst waiting to collect children.
Hopefully the repair will be carried out later today. Thank you

We had a great assembly for everyone yesterday afternoon, it was time to decorate our Christmas Tree! We sang carols and other Christmas songs as each class took it in turn to put baubles on the tree. Mrs Dyson read poems and then at the end she switched on the twinkling lights as we listened to Silent Night… magic!
